Altea 2023 Launch Soars to Success

London, 5th December 2023 - We recently hosted our launch event at the Old Operating Theatre Museum and have received such wonderful feedback from our friends and colleagues who joined us.

The venue is an original women’s operating theatre and herb garret, situated in the oldest surviving part of St Thomas’ Hospital Southwark site. This fascinating space was vacated in 1862 when the hospital moved from its Southwark site. It was boarded up and left untouched for nearly 100 years until rediscovered in 1956.

We were pleased to support this charity and their vision – educating on the importance of the history of medicine to our lives today.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last six months and for your invaluable contributions to Altea’s early stages.
